Basically, Vietnam cinnamon is an evergreen tree belong to Cinnamomum cassia blume family. Cinnamon bark is reddish brown. It’s sweet, mild spicy, slightly hot and has nice aroma. People use cassia for food, beverage, medicine and cosmetic. The most important ingredient in cassia cinnamon is the volatile essential oil. The higher content of essential oil, the higher value of the cinnamon. It’s usually around 2.0 to 4.5%, and up to 6.0%.
Normally, Vietnamese cinnamon is popular in the highland of the Northern of Vietnam such as Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Thai Nguyen provinces. Mostly, cinnamon grows in Yen Bai province, covers 90% of the total cinnamon production of the whole country.
Vietnam has a very good sources of cinnamon. Our country is the third largest exporter of cinnamon in the world. Even though our price of cinnamon is higher than some countries, Vietnam cinnamon has high level of essential oil and flavor.

Depending on customer’s requirements and specification, we can produce different size, length, and curve of cinnamon. Moisture: 13 – 13.5%. Essential oil: 2 – 4.5%. Residue: less than 1%. Cinnamon Flakes or Broken Cinnamon
During processing procedure, there are broken cinnamon flakes. This type of product has residue, which is about 4% max. People use broken cinnamon to produce cinnamon powder. The main markets for broken cinnamon are India, the Middle East, EU and Latin America.
Cinnamon Powder
We are manufacturing various kinds of cinnamon powder, depending on oil content inside. Most popular, however, we have three kinds of cinnamon powder with oil content of 1%, 1.5%, and 2.0%. Cinnamon powder has many applications such as food flavor, cosmetic ingredient and medicine.
